Can Tsonga stop Federer?

Tennis | 27-11-11

Roger Federer has been the stand out player here in London in the ATP World Tour Finals. In fact the Swiss legend has been very impressive for the past few months now and even at 30 years of age, he still looks good for more possible slams next year and especially the Australian Open. With Djokovic and Nadal struggling with injuries then this may just be a great chance for Federer to add to his haul of slam titles.

However the ATP World Tour is also one of the season highlights and Federer takes on Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France in today's final. Federer beat David Ferrer in the semi-final yesterday 7-5, 6-3 in what was just another day at the office for him. Tsonga also had an impressive win when he beat Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5 to book yet another meeting with Federer.

Both players played each other in Group B and also recently in the final of the Paris Masters. So Tsonga knows that he has his work cut out here and it looks like he needs a fast start in the match and certainly needs to take the first set while also hoping that Federer begins the match slowly.
