Can Argentina land the big one?

Tennis | 01-12-11

Argentina play Spain in the final of the Davis Cup from the 2nd to the 4th December in what is one of the biggest Tennis tournaments in the world outside of the grand slam events. Argentina have come close to landing the Davis Cup on several occasions and have always come up short in the past.

No fewer than 130 nations began the event and we are left with only two here in Seville where Spain will enjoy home advantage in the Olympic Stadium. It hasn't really come as a surprise to see these two nations contesting the final and it will be the second time in only four years that it has happened.

Argentina have been losing finalists three times in the past and Tennis is a big sport in Argentina and so the nation back home will really get behind this. Both Spain and Argentina have highly talented players and so the quality of play will be very high. It is often difficult to beat the drama of a Davis Cup match and if this match goes to the wire then the atmosphere will be electric.
