Can Argentina battle back?

Tennis | 04-12-11

With a hugely passionate crowd behind them then Spain have taken a 2-1 lead going into the final day of their Davis Cup Final in Seville against Argentina. Spain dominated the first two rubbers when Rafael Nadal thrashed Juan Monaco in straight sets to set up an early lead which David Ferrer then capitalised upon with an absolutely epic five set win over ex-US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro.

But there may still be a lot of life left in this event both as a spectacle and as a betting opportunity if Spain become nervous at closing out the match. David Nalbandian led the Argentina fightback along with Eduardo Schwank who crushed their doubles opposition in straight sets.

Argentina will be looking to address the balance of recent Davis Cup Final defeats and may throw caution to the wind to try and erode away at the Spanish lead. It could just depend on the cool head of Rafeal Nadal and what a player to have in your arsenal.......a multiple grand slam winner that can operate effectively under the greatest of pressure.
