It looks very much as though Inter Milan will win yet another title and Jose Mourinho will add more honours to his belt. They lead Roma by nine points and Milan by 11pts although their Milan rivals have a game in hand.

In recent weeks Milan have allowed their rivals to surge ahead taking just two points from their last three games, hardly title winning form. With their hugely important Champions League game with Manchester United looming then this is not a good sign.

However I am sure that this is just a blip and they will be up for that game. Although in all fairness their 0-0 draw last weekend against Bologna saw them dominate the game but they just couldn’t find the net.

As expected their title odds have risen sharply but second place in Serie A avoids having to qualify for the Champions League next season. Although any further slump in results could be a worry as Napoli, Palermo and Sampdoria are not far behind them in the league table.

Milan play Udinese who have not won away from home all season so anything less than all 3pts for The Rossoneri will be a bad result for them. However it has to be said that Udinese did come up trumps when they played Milan in the Italian Cup last eight stage where they did win 1-0 in the San Siro.

However Udinese are struggling at the moment with key injuries to important players and this will no doubt be another factor for tonight’s game. One proud club who is in severe danger of falling out of Serie A is Lazio.

Long gone are the days of Paul Gascoigne and Sven Goran Eriksson and the glory days in Rome. They languish third from bottom one point adrift of the safety line.
