Will France steal the show?

The French have probably just about recovered from their heart breaking near miss in the 2011 Rugby World Cup final. So in many aspects this makes them favourites in this years six nations. However it is England who are the defending champions but they have struggled over the past year or so which culminated in a quarter-final defeat to France and the exit of coach Martin Johnson.

It was England versus The Netherlands in the semi-finals of the BDO World Darts Championships yesterday and it will be England vs The Netherlands in the final. Tony O'Shea defeated young Wesley Harms in a nail biting match that went all the way to the wire before O'Shea won through 6-5. It will provide O'Shea with what could be his final chance of winning the big one in Darts.

Can anyone stop Adams?

Martin Adams looks in ominous form to add a fourth BDO world title to his list of honours as he has impressively reached the last eight. The tournament so far though hasn't been without its upsets and two of the favourites were beaten last night. Scott Waites lost an epic match to two time champion Ted Hankey 4-3. Waites looked to have one foot in the last eight when he hed Hankey 3-2 but vintage darts from "The Count" pulled him back from the brink.

Can Ligety win in Adelboden?

Adelboden in Switzerland is the latest venue in the mens Giant Slalom World Cup. There have been some very impressive performances in Giant Slalom this season and Ted Ligety is one such skier who has been looking good all year. He is already the World Cup winner on top of being World Champion and so he could well be the one to beat here in Adelboden.

The scene is set for the richest prize in Darts tonight as the PDC World Championships reaches the final. Can we take any more excitement after two literally stunning semi-finals that both went down to the wire? Andy Hamilton reached his first ever final by beating ex-finalist Simon Whitlock in an epic match 6-5. It had looked at one stage that the Aussie would reach his second PDC final but Hamilton produced a stunning comeback and took the match.

Can Lewis retain his title?

The PDC World Darts Championships begin this week at the Alexandra Palace in London. Widely seen as the most important of the two World Darts events due to the strength of the field then this will be a huge event and arguably the biggest in the Darts calender. Multiple world champion Phil "The Power" Taylor will be desperate to regain the title that he lost last year and all eyes will also be on holder Adrian Lewis to see whether or not he can become the first player after Taylor to retain the PDC title.
