I really don’t think that there has been as much interest in golf betting for some considerable time as there has been at this year’s Open. I don’t think there has been as much keen action on someone so young since Tiger Woods was making waves when he won his first major. At just 22 years of age then Rory McIIroy is the real deal. In fact Tiger Woods once said that if any player has a world ranking that is a smaller number than their age then they are something special. After his huge win at the Congressional then Rory McIIroy will be under pressure again but I just feel that he has the game to stand up to it. What has been utterly amazing for me and so many people is that he came back and won so convincingly after his Masters collapse in the very next major that he played. This was so huge that in my opinion it rivals not just one of the biggest golfing achievements in history but in sport full stop. Whether McIIroy will withstand the pressure of his home major is something else but even Tiger Woods couldn’t win every major. I certainly expect Rory to win more majors and he has made the important psychological breakthrough at a young age and that is key to winning numerous majors ad it only gets worse the longer it takes. But Rory has a powerful game that is almost Woods like in its effect.
