This weekend's big clash between Chelsea and Arsenal has huge implications for both clubs for different reasons. It is not long ago that Arsenal were seen as title contenders but it can be argued that this is no longer the case. They will have a huge fight on their hands this season against teams like Liverpool and Tottenham just to finish 4th.

Chelsea on the other hand need a result badly as losing last week at QPR means that they have slipped even further behind Manchester City. The blue half of Manchester entertain Wolves and so that is going to make them strong favourites in that game. New Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas will be expected to bring either the league title or the Champions League to Stamford Bridge.

While he has had a good start, he will know that losing even further ground to City will be difficult to make up. Arsenal are slowly starting to recover after their bad start to the season and the 8-2 mauling at Old Trafford will have left some scars with some of the players for sure.
