Wales vs England betting
Football | 26-03-11
I don’t think there will be many people betting on a Wales victory today but as I remarked earlier, I am not so sure that England will have it all there own way even though Wales will be without Gareth Bale. I can see the Welsh frustrating England for quite some time before England score. So I would imagine that the match result betting may be less but interest will be centred around other markets like the first goal scorer for example.
In matches like this where one team is a heavy favourite then the odds for the favourite can seem restrictive for the vast majority of people and Wales are too much of a long shot for most punters tastes. This can leave markets like the draw or half time-full time score lines as good markets for people to follow or time of the first goal scorer for example or even over under markets which are always popular.
I think that the end result of this match will depend on how early England score. They have struggled before against teams that they expected to beat well simply because they didn’t get an early goal and it could easily happen again. I was listening to John Terry yesterday and he appears to be saying that Fabio Capello is lightening up somewhat as manager. He needs to and he needs to listen to his players because if he doesn’t then his legacy will be one that he will not want and that could be the worst record of any England manager in the finals of major tournaments.
