It is never easy to play a European game on the Thursday and then a league game on Sunday and this is the problem that Harry Redknapp has today as Tottenham travel across London to face neighbours Fulham.

He will have seen all of his rivals pick up three points yesterday apart from Liverpool who were held 0-0 at home by Swansea. If Tottenham are to rekindle the form that took them into the top four during the 2009-2010 season then they simply have  to maintain their good start to the season.

Fulham though have found the season tough so far but they will have been buoyed by a good win in Europe on Thursday but it is points in the league that they so desperately need with only 10pts taken from the first ten games......a ratio that if continued would see them in a relegation scrap at the end of the season.
