Providing that he plays of course, next week sees the eagerly awaited return of the Champions League and David Beckham against his old club Manchester United.
The match in the San Siro will be special for Beckham but that will be nothing compared to the second leg at Old Trafford. Beckham has already stated that he will not celebrate if he scores.
It is a fascinating tie that pits the second placed club in the league in both Italy and England. I think that the tie is delicately poised. Had this game been played last season then I would have made United clear favourites but without Ronaldo then the game is more even.
United still have their defensive worries but I really think that this tie could go either way. Luckily for Ferguson though his team are coming back into form and are now only 1pt behind Chelsea in the race for the title.
Another huge return will see Jose Mourinho return to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their tie. Inter Milan and Chelsea feature the best two teams in Italy and England.
I think that Manchester United and Chelsea have the edge in both games but it is only a slight edge. Over the space of a mere two matches, anything could happen.
Chelsea will want to bounce back after their loss at Everton and they will have the chance to do that in the FA Cup at the weekend. I expect Ancellotti to field a weakened side in that competition but not too weak as to make it too comfortable for Cardiff City.
Meanwhile lets not forget Arsenal against Porto in the Champions League. I expect Arsenal to win this tie over two legs. Porto suit their style and they will be bolstered by the win over Liverpool and getting back into the title race after Chelsea lost and United drew.
Arsenal do not have to play anymore big teams in the run in and could run the big two close by the end who have to play each other.
See you soon
