The 3rd One Day International takes place on Monday between India and the West Indies in Ahmedabad. The first two games produced victories for the World Champions and they will start as heavy favourites for match 3 on Monday. The West Indies pushed India close in the first game but ultimately paid the price for not scoring enough with the bat and 211-9 off 50 hours isn't really a total that you can defend against India.

But the World Champions lost wickets and made harder work of it than they needed to but still ran out winners with seven balls to spare. That narrow loss seemed to affect both teams and the West Indies made a more solid 269-9 in match two which still wasn't enough to deny India who made their total with two overs to spare.

It is really difficult to see how the West Indies can upset the odds here in Ahmedabad but any top side can win a one day game and the West Indies showed that in the first match. They need to hope that India become complacent if they are to reduce the deficit in the series.
