5. Lay, back and think of Winning

Author……………………….Nigel Paul

Published…………………..2005

This is an interesting little book as it highlights ways to approach the betting exchanges and win money. However I need to warn the potential reader that this book is a little out of date now as are some of the methods in it in my opinion.

Despite this the book is still a worthwhile read for people who are looking to go into the minefield of the betting exchanges for the very first time. It is full of advice that novice traders and exchange users will find invaluable. It also has valuable insights into punter psychology as well.

Nigel Paul is a former TV executive who has taken to betting exchanges and gambling. He obviously has considerable experience on betting exchanges once you read this book. However the exchanges are dramatically different to what they were back in 2005 and the reader definitely needs to take that into account.

Do not be fooled by the title, there are no easy riches on the betting exchanges or gambling in general for that matter. But this book does a very good job of explaining how exchanges work and it also gives some decent strategies for novices who may be unsure of how to proceed.

I would definitely recommend reading this book and especially if you are a novice although experienced exchange traders will probably get little out of this book.

Although it is my opinion that if anyone gets as much as one vital piece of data out of any gambling or poker book then the book has more than paid for itself. This has always been my philosophy and always will be. If you make say £10,000 a year from gambling then spending £500 of that 10k on further education is a very small price to pay.

RATING………..7/10
